In the political and economic context of recent years, the law of the European Union has become an indispensable tool for every lawyer. This “new legal order of international law” (ECJ, Van Gend en Loos) is present in the most varied domains, regulating not only constitutional law issues or Member States’ institutions, but also current aspects of businesses on the single market: arbitration of investments, corporate governance, business transfer and consumer protection.
Therefore, we invite you to the sixth edition of the conference Current Issues of European Law that will take place on 13 JUNE 2019, at the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, Constantin Stoicescu Hall.
The conference will be organized by the law firm STOICA & Asociaţii, the Faculty of Law from the University of Bucharest and the French-Romanian Law College for European Studies, with the support of CursdeGuvernare.ro, Juridice.ro, American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham), British Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC), German Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK România), Spanish Official Chamber of Commerce in Romania (ASEMER), Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania.
The conference is organized during the Romania-France Season 2019.
Combining the novelties of EU law with the concrete challenges faced by law practitioners in Romania and the rest of Europe, the conference will give participants the expression of solidarity manifested on two levels: between the Romanian and the French legal world, on the one hand and between the academic world and law practitioners, on the other hand.

  • Prof. Em. Dr. Vlad Constantinesco, Université de Strasbourg;
  • Conf. Univ. Dr. Anne Rigaux, Ecole de droit de la Sorbonne, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne;
