Wednesday September 27th 2017 at 18.00 – 19.15 at the BRCC offices in Bucharest

Address: 1-5 David Praporgescu Street, 2nd Floor, Apt 4, Sector 2, Bucharest

Speaker: Raluca Nechimis – Attorney at Law, Raluca Nechimis Law Office

Topic: The impact of the data protection norms – including of the GDPR – on the public procurement procedures””

The presentation will cover the impact of the data protection breaches by bidders upon the procurement processes, privacy as a selection criterion and as an award criterion. The focus of the presentation is on the specific instances where a data breach may be construed as a grave professional misconduct, or a significant or persistent performance deficiency in a substantive requirement of a prior public contract which led to early termination, damages or other comparable sanctions so as to justify the contracting authority’s decision to deselect the respective bid. Further, the presentation will tackle on whether the evidence of bidder’s certifications and experience on privacy matters could be a selection criteria and whether the building in privacy to products and services from the beginning of the design process may represent an award criteria.

This event is open to members (and non-members invited by members) of the Chamber. The number of places is restricted to 25, and will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis.  If the demand for places exceeds this number, we will re-run the course.

Please note that this is a free of charge BRCC event. Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible but not later than Monday 25th September by e-mail to astefan@brcconline.eu
